In this blog post, I will provide a Sansi grow light review and cover the best Sansi grow lights that will take your indoor gardening game to the next level (Sansi 36W, Sansi 15W, Sansi clamp grow light, Sansi 60W, and Sansi 70W). I will cover the key features of each LED grow light, their pros and cons, how to use them, and my test results and personal experience.
Indoor gardening has become increasingly popular in recent years, providing the opportunity for people to grow their own plants year-round, regardless of weather conditions. However, achieving optimal growth can be a challenge without the right lights for indoor plants. These are my top picks of Sansi lights, each one suitable for a different purpose
My Top Picks
The Sansi 36W grow light bulb is a powerful option for indoor gardening. The LED grow light bulb provides a full spectrum of light (yellow-white light) which is perfect for all stages of growth. The 36W power consumption is energy efficient and the coverage area is large enough for medium to large plants (succulents, cacti and tropicals that need a lot of light). The light bulb is easy to set up and use, just screw it into any desk lamp or floor lamp. Or you can buy a cable and hang the grow bulb from the ceiling. Overall, the Sansi 36W grow light is a great option for those who want a more powerful light source while still being energy efficient and easy to use.

The Sansi 24W Clamp Grow Light is one of the strongest clamp grow lights on the market. I usually don’t recommend any clamp lights, as their brightness is too low, but Sansi light is different! The LED grow light provides purple light and the coverage area is adequate for small indoor plants (small tropicals and small succulents) if kept at a distance of 2” to 4”. You can adjust it to only emit blue light (for vegetative growth) or red light (for the flowering stage).
The clamp design allows you to easily attach it to a variety of surfaces and adjust the angle to suit your plants’ needs. The light has 3 arms which allow you to cover 3 small plants or point them all at 1 plant for a stronger light. The 24W power consumption is energy efficient. Overall, the Sansi 24W Clamp Grow Light is a great option for anyone looking to supplement or replace natural light for plants on shelves.

- Wattage: 3.5W to 19W
- PPFD (at 2 inches/5 cm) 1 arm: 500 umol/m2/s

The Sansi 60W Grow Light has 4 foldable arms that allow you to direct the light in different directions, providing optimal coverage for more than one plant. The LED technology provides a full spectrum of light (warm white light) which is perfect for all stages of growth. It only uses 60W of power, which is still energy efficient and the coverage area is large enough for small to medium size plants. Due to its shape, it will be difficult to use it with existing floor lamps or desk lamps, so I suggest buying a cable and hanging it from the ceiling. Due to its high light output it provides enough light to grow more than one plant or grow a single large plant and improve plant growth.
Overall, the Sansi 60W Grow Light is a great option for those who want to use it.

- Wattage: 54W

Why You Should Trust Mr. Houseplant?
I have been growing house plants for over 10 years. I have been growing house plants under grow lights for over 6 years. I have been using Sansi grow lights for over 3 years. This helped me to learn about different types of grow lights (LED grow lights, fluorescent lights, fluorescent bulbs, full spectrum lights, ordinary household LED lights…), how to measure their intensity, how to determine the proper distance between the light and the plant, and other intricacies of growing indoor plants under grow lights. I owned a venus flytrap production business for several years. And during that time, I grew venus flytraps under grow lights, which helped me significantly expand my knowledge.

Some of the huge plants I’ve grown under Sansi grow lights
During my houseplant career, I had the opportunity to use and test many different brands of grow lights (Sansi, GE, Soltech Solutions, Spider Farmer, Rousseau and many other well-known and less-known grow lights and household LED lights).
I wrote this review of Sansi grow lights based on my personal tests of the products, my personal experience with grow lights, and the feedback of my community of over half a million people social media followers.
How Mr. Houseplant Selected And Tested Products
I identified the key decision making factors for grow lights and tested all 5 Sansi grow lights to see how they measure for each of the factors. The key decision making factors were: 1) brightness 2) design 3) price 4) coverage area 5) glare 6) features that set it apart from the competition 7) warranty 8) ease of setup
I tested all 5 Sansi grow lights with a PAR meter (a grow light meter) at different distances to determine the light intensity (brightness) and the coverage area, and how well the lights keep their intensity at different distances. I checked whether the grow lights produce a glare. I’ve had these grow lights for over 3 years and have been using them every single day on my house plants. I tested how different indoor plants react to each of these lights, at different distances, after exposure of several weeks to several months. I also looked whether the grow lights have features that set them apart from each other and the competition.
Based on the previously mentioned key decision-making factors, I rated all of the grow lights.
Please note that using a PAR meter (a grow light meter) is the only reliable way to test grow lights.
Final Thoughts
Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time indoor gardener, Sansi grow lights are an excellent choice for achieving pro-level results at home.

Yours Truly,

I have a question about the 36 watt lights. I have a light stand that has 3 available sockets for bulbs. Can I put 3 36 sansi bulbs on it?
Hi Melissa, the light stand should list how strong of a bulb you can put inside (how many watts)? If it’s not listed on the stand, look up the information on the manufacturer’s website or reach out to them.
Is it harmful for humns
Hi Blessilda, like with any strong light, it’s not advised to look directly at grow lights.
