In this review, I will share my experience with Dyna Gro Foliage Pro, a liquid fertilizer made to promote healthy house plant growth. I look into its nutrient content, ease of use, and results in enhancing plant growth. Read on to find out whether Dyna Gro Foliage Pro is the right fertilizer for you.
Dyna Gro Foliage Pro is a complete liquid plant nutrient for indoor plants, vegetables and herbs. It contains all 6 macronutrients and all 10 micronutrients (not just NPK) that plants need. And it has an excellent N-P-K ratio for foliage plants, 9:3:6 (which is the same as 3:1:2) recommended by the University of Florida.
The N-P-K ratio represents the percent of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) in the fertilizer. A 9-3-6 fertilizer has 9% N, 3% P, and 6% K.
All plants need nitrogen but especially plants with lots of leaves and plants with large leaves. A high nitrogen amount in Dyna Gro is excellent for foliage production and stem and leaf growth. It will help you maintain healthy plants and help resist environmental stresses.

How To Use

For hydroponic plant growers, Foliage Pro is an excellent solution because there is no need to measure or mix different nutrients together. This is the only fertilizer you will need to use from the seedling stage until the harvest if you’re growing leafy greens hydroponically. If you’re growing flowering plants, you should eventually switch to Dyna Gro Bloom or Dyna Gro Grow. These fertilizers have a higher ratio of phosphorus which is important for plant flowering.

Which Plants To Use It On
Foliage Pro is excellent for most plants in their vegetative state, including, but not limited to common interior scape plants, house plants, vegetables, herbs and cannabis. It works very well for plants grown hydroponically, as it is an all-in-one solution. No need to mix it with other fertilizers.
I have been fertilizing many different species with Foliage Pro for the last several years – peace lilies, monsteras, fiddle leaf figs, alocasias, philodendrons, and many other plants, with excellent results!
Cost
Dyna Gro is an affordable houseplant fertilizer. It comes in packages of 8oz, 32oz, 1 gallon, 15 gallon and 55 gallon. For home usage, I recommend the 32oz. It’s big enough to keep around 50 plants fertilized for more than a year.
It is also affordable for hydroponic plant growth because it’s an all-in-one solution, so you don’t need to mix it with other nutrients.
Safety For Humans
Avoid getting Foliage Pro on your skin and eyes as it can cause skin and eye irritation. It may also cause respiratory irritation.
If you get fertilizer on your skin, wash with plenty of water. If you get it in your eyes, rinse eyes with water for several minutes.
Safety For Plants
Applying a high concentration of Foliage Pro can damage or kill your plants. The same is true for most fertilizers. High concentration of a fertilizer will burn the roots, which will manifest as leaf damage. And if the fertilization is very high, it will kill your plant.

Too much fertilizer can damage and kill your plant
